Satya Sai Ram KANTHETI - Candidate for President (Current President of VAV)
About Me:
I am current President of VAV Committee.
At age of 16, I was youngest founder & chairman of Youth Hostels Association of India.
At the age of 17, I founded a NFP for promotion of Arts and Culture.
At age of 18, I was founder member of Rotaract club. Served at various roles including leadership at District level.
I have served many philanthropic activities for last 30 years.
My Achievements:
Served as steering committee member of interfaith Network in Melbourne.
Served as Board of Director (Executive Director) of Project Management Institute, Melbourne Chapter.
Lead a team to distribute food in 5 suburbs (in CBD, Craigieburn & surroundings) to those who were affected by Covid-19 crisis.
Certified in Community Leadership program.
Currently, actively engaged in volunteering in wyndham, Representative in Interfaith community for ISKCON, Representative in Global Communication ministry in ISKCON and Member of Wyndham Preaching Committee in ISKCON.
My Vision for VAV:
Organise larger events and charity programs in collaboration with Govt and other organisation.’
Establish vasavi mata Deity worship.
Conduct more events in various suburbs across Melbourne to promote community bonding and harmony.
Venkata Syam Kumar CHITRALA - Candidate for President (Current Secretary of VAV)
About Me :
I'm one of the founding members of VAV and have been serving the VAV since 2019 in various capacities.
Very well known within the VAV community for my active participation and managing many VAV events and day-to-day operations.
My Achievements:
I've been a service oriented person from childhood with active participation in our community service since 1990.
I was part of Arya Vysya Yuvajana Sangham at Anantapur Vasavi Temple for around 10+ years.
Volunteered for many temples/associations within Melbourne like VAV, ISKCON, JET, Vinayagar Temple.
Proud regular donor of blood/plasma with 56 donations and still counting
My vision for VAV:
1. Establish Vasavi Matha Idol (Utsava Vigraham) at a local temple to start with, before planning for a dedicated temple.
2. Improve the financial position of the VAV by applying for government grants, organising fundraising activities, engaging with community businesses.
3. Inculcate the importance of our religious practices in our community kids by organising traditional festivals, rituals with their active participation
4. Establish the process for maintaining proper documentation of VAV operations as lack of these will risk association's image during any auditing.
5. Collate VAV's digital assets (photos, videos, logos) & credentials and establish the ownership as they are scattered everywhere at present with no proper ownership & accountability.
6. Support our community businesses by promoting within community circles for their sustainable growth and shared success.

About Me:
Hailing from Bangalore am a BE graduate working as business analyst at ANZ.
Enthusiastic in extra curricular activities from early days of schooling and always been involved in social and cultural activities whenever and wherever possible to my best capacity.
My Achievements:
I have applied for the position of treasurer as I have experience in managing money and maintaining records related to the expenses for auditing purposes. Have been doing this in office as part of team building activities planning and execution committee member.
My Vision for VAV:
If elected for the position, will retain the same standards of transparency and accountability required for handling finances related VAV. Based on existing processes (am not aware of them as of now) related to managing VAV finances I will try to improvise and bring new ideas as applicable.
